Two simple routines — one for wash day, one for the days in between — to keep your Mawodi hair soft, defined and full of movement.

Guide 01

Miracle Knots

A soft, curl-first ritual that keeps your knots springy, hydrated and beautifully defined between installs.

Wash day

  1. 01Wash with a sulfate-free conditioning shampoo.
  2. 02Deep condition.
  3. 03Lightly apply a leave-in conditioner, curl cream or detangling cream and brush to detangle and redefine curls.
  4. 04Apply a medium or strong hold mousse.
  5. 05Scrunch and let air dry, or dry with a diffuser hair dryer.
  6. 06Alternatively, do plaits or twists and undo when completely dry for refreshed curls.

Maintenance day

  1. 01Spritz hair with water.
  2. 02Apply leave-in conditioner, curl cream or detangling cream.
  3. 03Finger detangle and brush out to detangle and redefine curls.
  4. 04Apply medium or strong hold mousse.
  5. 05Scrunch to enhance curls and let air dry, or dry with a diffuser hair dryer.
  6. 06Alternatively, do a plait or twists and undo when completely dry for refreshed curls.

Guide 02

Crochet Leave Out

Blend your natural leave-out seamlessly with your crochet hair — soft moisture on the leave-out, defined curls throughout.

Wash day

  1. 01Wash hair with a sulfate-free conditioning shampoo.
  2. 02Deep condition.
  3. 03Apply leave-in conditioner on the leave-out and seal with hair oil.
  4. 04Lightly apply a leave-in conditioner, curl cream or detangling cream on the crochet hair and brush to detangle and redefine curls.
  5. 05Apply a medium or strong hold mousse on the crochet hair and leave-out to enhance the curls.

Maintenance day

  1. 01Spritz water on the leave-out and crochet hair.
  2. 02Lightly apply a leave-in conditioner, curl cream or detangling cream on both.
  3. 03Apply hair oil on your natural hair to seal in the moisture.
  4. 04Apply a medium or strong hold mousse on both and style as desired.

Air dry when you can

Heat is fine occasionally on a diffuser — but air drying keeps the curl pattern springy for longer.

Refresh with water first

Always spritz before product. Dry hair on top of dry product is what causes buildup.

Handle knots gently

Finger detangle before you brush. Work in sections from the ends up to the roots.
